Traditional English placement tests are designed in multiple-choice especially in Turkey. Foreign Language Placement Test (YDS), Higher Education Foreign Language Test (YÖKDİL) exams could be given as examples for these kind of tests.

In exams of foreign sources, the person is tested in predetermined places and time. In these exams, filling the gap and multiple choice types of questions stand out. The main reason why artificial intelligence cannot be used in these exams is that many people should be subjected to the examination at the same time and questions should be answered in the same way. The main goal is to determine the level of the person in the fastest way. These exams consist of the same questions and the result should be calculated at the same level for each person. However, variables such as age, gender, education level and profession are effective in the foreign language level of the person. Thanks to the developing technology, artificial intelligence provides the opportunity for this unique structure. Evaluation via artificial intelligence will allow more accurate level determination if it is carried out considering age, education level, gender, occupation, and taking into account the individual person-specific way. The user's level will be determined by artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic techniques, more precise determination of the initial level, dynamic placement in different skills will have benefits such as group analysis in corporate customers. As a result of the evaluation of the person, successful and unsuccessful aspects based on small gains can be determined more precisely.
